While driving around the Costa Rica highway from northeast to southwest, you could observe how the vegetation gradually changes, and it becomes greener and big. One of the towns that you’ll encounter on your way to the rainforest is Santa Elena. Farming is the most important economic activity in this town, and some of the plantations in the area are of sugarcane, coffee, plantains, as well as bananas, and assorted vegetables. You will also find some roadside excellent cheese shops at the homes of the locals. A gravel road will take you through the countryside, directly to a private reserve
which is locally managed. Selvatura Park property is around 1600 meters above sea level this rainforest is located high in the mountain ranges of Costa Rica. Here you will be able to walk across 8 different bridges that range between 50 to 170 meters in length and 12 to 60 meter in altitude. The Treetop Walkways are the most solid, comfortable and strongest of the walking bridge systems in Costa Rica. The tour along the bridges takes approximately 1.5 hours. Live a rainforest experience.
